Mackenzie Mills Emporium receives support from My Main Street for enhancements​

October 10, 2024 – Madoc, ON – Mackenzie Mills Emporium is pleased to receive My Main Street Business Sustainability support. This will allow Mackenzie Mills Emporium to strengthen its existing capacity and support its continued growth to attract new customers to the business and the entire Madoc, Ontario main street community.

With this investment, Mackenzie Mills Emporium will enhance the façade of their century and half year-old heritage building, elevating the downtown core of Madoc’s business area. Attractive heritage storefronts not only attract visitors to Ontario’s downtown shops, but they provide visitors and community members with a look into the nations rich architectural and business history. This new addition will allow Mackenzie Mills Emporium to display fragile merchandise in the windows, without the fear of damage from the sun’s harmful rays.

My Main Street is delivered by the Canadian Urban Institute (CUI) and is designed to encourage growth and economic prosperity on main streets by driving business and creating vibrancy in local communities. My Main Street is supported by an investment from the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario).
