“Who makes your seaweed art?” 🌊

It’s us! Each pressed seaweed piece at Sea Mist Studio is created by our own hands, and it has become much more than a hobby.

It gives us a reason to slow down, explore our Nova Scotia shores, and learn about the seaweeds we find. We study and catalogue our discoveries, noticing when different varieties appear along the shore and how their colours change throughout the year—from rich reds and browns to softer, sun-faded shades.

Each piece preserves a little of that discovery—a moment by the sea, shared with you.

Thank you for enjoying our work, asking about it, and taking a little piece of the coast home. It means so much to us.

What a wonderful Scarecrow Festival weekend in Mahone Bay🍂 We even spotted a few unusual guests enjoying the festivities—some furry, and one a little furrier than expected! 🐾🦍
