Back then, capturing your artwork meant paying attention to every little detail — the lighting, the angles, the background, & patiently waiting for that perfect shot that truly reflected the work you had created by hand !! ✋🏼
Today, we have amazing tools that can enhance backgrounds, improve lighting, & help present our work beautifully Technology has opened so many new possibilities for artists & creatives alike - At the same time, it has also created a learning curve for many artists who are balancing both mastering their craft & keeping up with rapidly changing technology 😶‍🌫️
I’ve met so many talented artists who continue to invest in their skills through practice, education, workshops, & conferences while also learning how to navigate this new digital landscape 🫠
There is absolutely nothing wrong with using editing tools or AI enhancements to improve presentation 🙃
‼️ However, as clients & brides, it’s always helpful to look beyond a single polished image & explore an artist’s full portfolio, videos, & previous work over the years to get a better sense of their style & consistency !! ‼️

Something interesting caught my attention yesterday while scrolling through Instagram. I came across an image of a henna design that looked incredibly familiar. After digging through my archives, I found the original design I had created several years ago
With the rise of AI tools, it’s becoming easier to enhance, edit, and “repolish” artwork to create images with ultra-crisp lines, perfect symmetry, and flawless finishes that may not accurately reflect the artist’s real-life work 🫨
This is just a friendly reminder to all future brides and clients to do a little extra research when choosing your henna artist
My biggest tip? Take some time to scroll through their portfolio, videos, and past work. Look for consistency between the images they share and the actual henna they apply by hand. If the quality, style, and details align across their work, you’ll feel much more confident in your choice👻
AI can be a wonderful tool for inspiration and editing, but it’s important to know the difference between digitally enhanced artwork and real hand-drawn henna artistry
As artists, the beauty of henna lies in the human touch, the tiny imperfections, and the skill developed over years of practice 😬
