I post more photos, share more of my creative process, and my stories are quite hilarious sometimes. It is a place where I can have real conversations with knitters.

Fanfare Hat, all finished! I took it for a test ride this weekend, roaming around in snowy, cold (-17°C!) Montréal. I have to say, I'm pretty proud of myself with this one!
I still want to make another, ajust some details. Stay tuned for a test call!✌

* One year worth of socks *
About a year ago, I casted on for my first pair of socks in many, many years. I didn't know I would enjoy the process so much! After (only!) 4 pairs and a published design, I don't see myself wearing anything else ✌

❇ Fanfare Hat ❇
Is sharing something too soon spoils the surprise? Perhaps. But I do feel like sharing what I have been obsessing about for a while now. I had the idea for the Fanfare Hat while perusing throught my stash and admiring a skein of Petite Face Bleue, but the engineering of the design came from spending so much time walking around Montreal (in winter!). I still want to make another one, tweek some details in the crown, and just play with the pattern a bit. Maybe some of you would like to test it? If so, let me know!

🇬🇧 I am slowly recovering from Christmas gatherings, copious meals, early mimosas and late digestives. I am wishing you a wonderful new decade, and I hope it will fulfill all your dreams 🎉
Funny Maxence, being himself in front of the camera, is wearing one of his Christmas gift, a Garter Earflap Hat I knitted with stashed Quince and Co Osprey.

Connais-tu la laine superwash ? Souvent on voit ce mot sur les étiquettes de laine que l’on peut laver en machine, mais à quoi cela correspond-il vraiment ?

Knitwear designer of beloved garments

Hi, my name is Ariane, and sometimes I can't sleep because I think too much about knitting. I am a Montréal based book editor by day, a slow knitter by night, a mother of one. I always try to get better at what I do. Once in a while, I publish a knitting pattern. I enjoy the creative process as much as the finished product. . Mental health awareness, self soothing techniques and anxiety overcoming posts might be encountered on this page, but I almost just like to share stuff, a window to my life as a fulltime working, imaginative mom of a kindergardener in the amazing city of Montréal, paradise of knitwear weather. I also eat good food, and I walk a lot. . I am courageous, passionnate, hard working. I am humble, a gatherer. . Have yourself a wonderful day!
