Willa With Love

Willa With Love Simple, elegant, personalized embroidery. Everything she did, she did with love. This shop is dedicated to her memory.

A passion for creating pieces that hold a special meaning has led to the creation of WillaWithLove, named after my late-Grandmother, Willa. Using her signature and one of her favourite flowers I created the WillaWithLove logo. I create simple, elegant embroidered bookmarks, Christmas ornaments, and hoop designs. All of which can be personalized by embroidering you or a loved one's signature/handwr

iting, favourite phrase or nickname, or perhaps a meaningful quote or simple design. If you have any questions or want a custom piece, please send me an email.

Bookmarks and hair bows! The brief moment of spring like weather this past week has me excited for more sunshine and signs of new growth in our gardens.

For now, however, I shall have to be content with these pretty florals and reading about the beauty of gardens while I impatiently await the arrival of Spring.

First time covering a tear with embroidery.

My co-worker accidentally tore her dress at work so I offered to try and cover it with some embroidery.

The tear is in an unfortunate spot and but what can you do. The tear itself was an inch long and half an inch thick, picture a capitol ‘L’ lying down. This dictated the size of the flower.

The colour palette was inspired by her favourite colours, blue, red and purple.

In the end floral embroidery saves the day or in this case the dress!

There is nothing quite a beautiful bookmark to encourage one to find a good book to read, already I think so. ☺️

I am in need of a few book suggestions to add to my reading list to get me through the impending winter.

Write in the comments some books you would recommend?

I used two of embroidery patterns to create these bookmarks. 😍

These bookmarks have just been added to my Etsy shop.

I personally love combining both beauty and function. So when I set out to make these bookmarks I wanted to ensure that when I’m use, you could still enjoy the embroidery as well as ensure the bookmark was still able to securely mark the page.

Embroidery and reading are my two favourite passions, so to say I loved making them would be an understatement.

It has been a whirlwind of a week. I had limited time to make this little romper for my sweet niece and fellow Libra before my mom sets off to see her soon.

Many hours being covered in fabric remnant’s and thread, cursing, (so much cursing) As I had a little mishap with the leg elastic right at the end, boy has it been a journey lol, but I loved every second of it. As it was my little way of being apart of her first Christmas all the way from Canada.

My sister lives is Australia with her husband, pup and now sweet little girl, Charlotte. Since it will be summer time in Australia at Christmas, I thought this version of Acacia pattern would be perfect. I also used their beautiful embroidery pattern to add some Christmas detail. I loved picking the colours to match the fabric and am happy very with how it turned out.

Love you so much Charlotte, I hope it fits!!❤️

This is a fun piece I made last year using glow in the dark thread.

Hello everyone, I hope you have all been well. We have had a very busy summer and I am just starting to reacquaint myself with my sewing room. It feels so good to be making/creating things again.

I just finished this romantic cotton gauze nightgown for my very pregnant sister who is due very soon. So this will be heading to Australia this week!

I cannot tell you how happy I am to have this complete. No better motivator to start other projects then finishing another. 😊

Happy fall everyone! 🍂🍁

I made this sweet little romper and accessories for my youngest sisters first baby, due this October. 🥰

We kept the jumper gender neutral as they’ve decided to keep the gender a surprise.

I also made two bow ties and two head band options, so regardless of gender my little niece or nephew will be well attired!

Can’t wait to meet you my fellow libra to be. Love you so much already!!!
