The Cariboo Regional District has issued an evacuation order for the Fiftynine Creek (Pear Lake) Fire area.

Due to immediate danger, you must leave the area.

• If it is safe to do so, check in with friends or neighbours that may need help.
• Take pets in pet kennels or on leash.
• Take critical items (medicine, wallet, and keys) only if they are immediately available.
• Close all windows and doors; Close gates (latch) but do not lock.
• Do not shut off your natural gas. For more information visit www.fortisbc.com/.
• Do not use the telephone unless you need emergency service.
• Do not use more vehicles than you have to.

To receive Emergency Support Services, please self-register using the Evacuee Registration & Assistance (ERA) tool at https://ess.gov.bc.ca/ (if not already done).

Due to limited accommodation availability, residents who are able to arrange their own accommodation with friends, family, or other available options are encouraged to do so. Emergency Support Services remain available for those who require assistance.

If you have homeowners’ or tenants’ insurance, contact your insurance provider to arrange for living expenses such as accommodation and food.

Emergency Support Services will be provided only if your primary residence is on an evacuation order.

Residents who choose not to evacuate should understand they stay at their own risk. Responders may not be able to come to your rescue if it is unsafe to do so.

I am speechless for words about the wildfires...
I hope all anglers are being respectful on lakes being used for water for fires. Please stay off them.
My heart goes to all the people being effected by this wildfire.
Please take note and stay out of these areas.
It is wise to cancel trips to these areas. To allow other evacuees in the area and new evacuees to navigate.
Please be safe everyone.

An Evacuation Alert has been issued for the Fiftynine Creek (Pear Lake) Fire Area 3. Fiftynine Creek (Pear Lake) Fire Area 3 affects approx. 280 house point in 495 parcels with an area of 23,892 Hectares.
Residents will be given as much advance notice as possible prior to evacuation; however, you may receive limited notice due to changing conditions.

Further information will be issued as it becomes available. Please visit the CRD Emergency Operations Facebook as well as the CRD website at cariboord.ca/EOC. For more information contact the CRD's Emergency Information Line at 1-866-759-4977.

**** our cell tower is down by Bridge Lake - currently unable to recieve messages or calls.
Hopefully it is repaired soon.
I will come up and check on messages and orders in the afternoons until its fixed!
