Our Story
Our mission is to encourage children to develop positive racial and cultural identities. We want to encourage and teach children to accept and celebrate their differences. We are in the business of helping all children develop a positive self- concept and to feel proud of who they are. If this is done today's children will become adults who accepts and affirm differences and strive to eliminate racism. Values/value offering The princess Sariyah Brand understands how children develop their racial and cultural identities, and feels it is time to encourage children to accept, and celebrate their differences! We are in the business of helping children develop positive self-concept, and to feel proud of who they are. Barbara Biles an M.E.D. said ‘’ the first step in helping children feel positive about racial and cultural identity is REFLECTING diversity in their surroundings’’, she continues and say ‘’in doing so ,this will not only help brown children feel good ,but also help ,and teach all children to feel positive about differences’’. In conclusion The Princess Sariyah Brand offers an alternative to brown and Bi-Racial children and their mothers, I have found it hard to find princess products in stores that I could purchase for my daughter. It is important to me that my daughter loves her self , and her racial features ,and that she has an icon princess with similar features to relate too. I soon realize that I am not the only parent struggling with this. Princess Sariyah matters ,because when children don’t see images of themselves it leads them to believe they are not important and I want all the brown little girls to know they are princesses too. Princess Sariyah will help bridge the gap of diversity and help reaffirm their beauty and value.
