Can I film myself riding with the A1 drone?

No camera crew. No chase vehicle. Just me, the bike, and a tiny flying robot that I’m trusting with both the shot and my self-esteem.

This was my first try setting up the Antigravity A1 to capture solo riding footage, and honestly, I’m pretty blown away by what this little 360 drone can do. Fly first, frame later makes a lot of sense when the rider, the road, and the plan are all moving targets.

What do you think? Did the footage turn out?

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I threw a leg over the Can-Am Motorcycles Origin.

As someone who’s spent years riding gas-powered adventure bikes, I had more than a few questions about whether an electric motorcycle could deliver the same feeling of adventure.

After some time on pavement, gravel roads, and forest trails, I came away genuinely surprised.

This isn’t a full review. It’s my honest first impressions, the things I loved, the things I’m still questioning, and why I’m excited to see where Can-Am goes from here.

I’d love to hear your thoughts after you watch. Do you think electric motorcycles have a place in the adventure world, or are you sticking with gas?

Range anxiety? Not this time. ⚡️

I rolled into Sooke with 26 km of range still showing, so despite the dramatic thumbnail, I was never actually stranded. 😅

I’ll admit, heading out on my first real ride aboard an electric motorcycle had me watching that battery percentage a little closer than I normally watch a fuel gauge. But once I found the charger, it was surprisingly easy.

And the best part?

The charge was completely free. That’s a lot cheaper than filling my other bikes these days.

I’m still learning where an electric motorcycle fits into my riding, but one thing’s for sure, the Can-Am Origin has been full of surprises.

Have you ever ridden an electric motorcycle, or are you still sticking with gas?

Just a couple of middle aged men riding motorcycles through puddles while filming it with a very expensive camera 🎥🏍️💦

Exactly the kind of mature, well thought out creative direction you would expect.

Logan from was out on his Husqvarna Norden 901, and I took the Ember S5K around Renfrew yesterday. After a lot of serious location scouting, we naturally decided the biggest puddles were the real stars of the show.

Honestly, time well spent.

What do you think of the result?
Should we shoot more slow mo stuff? 👇

Mic Pro test number three… and this time I put it on my quietest bike. The Can-Am Origin ⚡🎙️

After testing it on my loudest bike, the Kove 450 Rally, this felt like a slightly different challenge.

The Kove was basically yelling at the mic.
The Can-Am is more like a polite futuristic hum.

One test was, will it clip?
This one is, will there be anything to hear besides tires, the buzz of the motor, and my own thoughts? 🤣

Honestly, it is pretty funny hearing the difference back to back. Same mic. Very different personalities.

What do you think? Which sound do you prefer, loud rally thumper or quiet electric sneaky bike? 👀

Can you hear me coming now? 👀⚡️

After a lifetime of hearing adventure bikes long before you see them, riding the new Can-Am Origin feels a little strange. Twist the throttle and it just… goes. No engine noise. No exhaust note. Just instant torque and the sound of tires rolling down the trail.

I’ve only spent a short time on it so far, but it’s already challenging a lot of what I thought an adventure motorcycle needed to be.

The big question is: can an electric motorcycle still deliver a real adventure?

I’m putting together a full first impressions video for YouTube over the next few weeks where I’ll dive into the good, the bad, and the things that surprised me most.

Until then, what do you want to know about the Can-Am Origin?

The more time I spend on the BMW R 12 G/S, the more it keeps surprising me.

For a bike with this much presence, it is ridiculously flickable. The kind of bike that drops into corners way easier than you expect and somehow makes every road feel a little more fun. But the real surprise has been how easy it is to ride. It is so well balanced, so natural underneath you, that the whole thing just feels effortless in the best way.

That is what keeps standing out to me. It looks like a bike with a big personality, and it absolutely has one, but it also has this calm, planted, confidence-inspiring feel that makes you want to keep riding it longer.

The kind of bike that keeps making you say, “Let’s see what’s around the next corner.”
