Christmas Gifts 2021. All of the Christmas gifts were in the mail in the first couple weeks of December and the in town orders were completed by December 23rd. One of the biggest, detailed projects was a request for a pair of jewelry boxes. My client provided a picture of what she wanted the one to look like and by the time I was done, I honestly don't think I could have come much closer to her picture. The other jewelry box I had a bit more creative freedom with; she said black and a bit of blue highlights as her vision. They both turned out amazing.
And of course, what Christmas would be Christmas without the memory gifts. I had a week to compete 8 teddy bears!

August-December was another mass creation session. If it wasn't painting, it was custom sewing orders. The custom sewing orders were mainly memory bears and blankets The, but there was a fuzzy, cool caterpillar in there too! The felt instructive toy salmon were a huge hit and I am still working on filling all the orders that weren't in a rush before Christmas.

March-August 2021 was a busy: I don't think a day went by that I wasn't making, painting, or creating something!!

Caught these lunkers at dusk! Great eaters, 2 spawners, terrific colors, healthy meat. Fileted and to the smoker for candied salmon. Mmmwwwah!

🤔🙄...um....okay! 😂😂😛 The true story is this custom sewing order combined my seamstress qualities with my love for fishing and was so terrifically fun to do. This order is for an Indigenous daycare for the littles to learn about salmon, cultural fishing, fileting, and fish drying.
I hand embroidered fish bones and included great features like spawning red, opening gills, organza fins and tail, shimmering sequins for scales, and realistic guts! I loved making this order and I think that it is amazing that super little students will be learning the love of the land as early as they can.♡

Well...fixing up furniture and giving some pieces a whole-new-lease-on-life has kind of taken off for me. I love taking in pieces and seeing the transformation of before and after, seeing and feeling a vision, complete with color and design (and sometimes even accessories!) I also love recycling furniture and supplies and keeping it all out of the landfill. Post dates furniture I have worked on since May 2020-March 2021, and have all been re-homed ♡
