Come spend four cozy evenings sewing your own quilted Christmas stocking with us!

In this confident beginner sewing class, we’ll walk you through creating a fully finished quilted stocking, including piecing, quilting, construction, lining and finishing details. You’ll have room to choose your own fabrics and make the stocking feel completely your own.

This class is a great next step if you’ve taken one of our beginner classes before, or if you’re already comfortable with the basics of using a sewing machine. You don’t need quilting experience!

Bring your own sewing machine, or borrow one of ours at no extra cost. We’ll send out a supply list before the first class so you know exactly what to bring.

Motif Studios Utility Tote Sewing Class

Come sew the Utility Tote pattern by Motif Studios with us! Over four weeks, we’ll take you through making your own tote from start to finish.

This is a beginner-to-intermediate class and a great chance to build your sewing skills while making something you’ll actually use. We’ll work through the project together with lots of help along the way.

Our drop in sewing circle is happening again Oct 15th at Studio 2880. Bring in something you need help on and we can help you parse through it. Maybe you need to do some parallel play with your fellow sewists? Need to cut out a project and need a big table? We've got you covered. We want to steward community for sewists in Prince George, you can help by being part of our community! Come on out and hang, lots of chatting and seam ripping are guaranteed!

LEARN TO HEM YOUR OWN PANTS!

Got pants that have been sitting in your closet because they’re just a little too long? Bring them with you and learn how to fix them yourself!

Join us for a relaxed 3-hour Sunday sewing workshop where we’ll walk you through hemming your own pants from start to finish. We’ll cover measuring, pinning, sewing and getting a nice clean finish, so you can leave with a hemmed pair of pants and a skill you can use into perpetuity!

Whether you’re brand new to sewing or ready to take on more challenging projects, Minck Sisters offers small, hands on sewing classes for a range of skill levels. Head to our website to see what classes we have available for sign up!

Our classes cover everything from sewing fundamentals to garment making, quilting techniques, repairs, upcycling and more. Some classes are perfect for complete beginners, while others are designed for sewists who already know the basics and want to build their skills.

You don’t need to own a sewing machine to join us. We have machines available, or you’re welcome to bring your own.

Our October Sewing Basics class is officially up and registration is now LIVE on the website! ✂️💗

Sewing Basics is a 4 evening course designed for those who are curious about sewing and want a supportive, hands on introduction. This course focuses on building confidence at the sewing machine while learning practical, everyday skills you can actually use. Each class builds on the last, combining guided instruction with plenty of time to practice at your own pace in a relaxed environment. Over the 4 classes, you’ll learn how to:

-Use a sewing machine with confidence,

-Read and understand a simple sewing pattern

-Understand fabric types and how to choose the right fabric

-And finish with a pouch complete with a zipper and interfacing!

All supplies are provided as part of the course. You’re welcome to bring fabric if you have something in mind you'd like to use but zippers and fabrics will be supplied! This is a bring your own sewing machine class. Perfect for complete beginners or anyone looking for a refresher, this course will leave you with practical skills, finished work, and the confidence to keep sewing on your own. Bring your own machine and a good attitude and we'll have a blast! If you don't have a machine we have spares please just reach out before signing up to see if any of the spares are available. Classes are held at Studio 2880 from 6:30-8:30 pm!💕

Our final September sewing class will be making Korean Pojagi curtains! Do you have a little window that needs something special hanging in it? Well this is the class for you. This is a beginner level sewing class where you will work on cutting and measuring as well as learning about flat felled seams! It's a 3 night class to give you the time you need to piece your very own curtain together. This class runs from September 18 to October 5th 6:30-8:30 pm! Come hang out and craft a cute curtain for a window in your home
