Most conversations about pre-orders start with the same question:

"Why should I wait?"

But I think a more interesting question is:

"What happens before a garment is ever made?"

Fast fashion and pre-orders don't simply offer different delivery times they begin with completely different ways of thinking about production.

One starts with a prediction.

The other starts with real demand.

Neither model is inherently right or wrong. They simply reflect different priorities.

If you've ever wondered why independent brands choose pre-orders, I recently published a new article exploring the topic from how production works to why more brands are embracing this model.

πŸ“– Read the full article through the link in my bio.

I'd love to hear your thoughts:

Would you rather receive a product immediately, or wait a little longer for something produced after demand is confirmed?
