Some bags have a story behind them — and this one definitely does. 🤎

Krista had stopped by my booth at several markets over the years, and eventually came to me with a bag she had loved and used for years — along with a very specific wish list for its replacement.

She knew exactly what she wanted in the style, size, colours and details, so I created the pattern specifically for her and we worked together choosing everything from the fabrics to the hardware.

This was the result. 🖤🤎

And receiving Krista’s lovely review afterwards made this one even more special. She described her new bag as “absolutely perfect” and “extremely well made, sturdy and excellent quality.” ❤️

I made this a couple of months ago and realized I never properly shared it here!

I’m starting to think this design might deserve another appearance… perhaps in a few different colour combinations.

I think I may be onto something… 💕

I’ve been having so much fun experimenting with quilted bags lately, and this little one has definitely sparked some ideas.

I’m already thinking about what could come next — maybe a mini tote, a cosmetic bag… or both. 😊

Settling into my new sewing space and very happy to be creating again! 🧵

There’s a lot that happens before a finished bag ever makes it into a photo — choosing fabrics, working out measurements, cutting, sewing…and sometimes changing things along the way.

I’ve been spending lots of time at my machines lately, working on new ideas and getting ready for a busy fall ahead.

It feels so good to be back at it. ❤️

This shoulder bag is coming together for an Etsy customer right here in Nova Scotia. The exterior is finished, the inside pockets are done, and now I’m working on the zipper!

It feels so good to be back at my sewing machine and sending handmade bags out from my new home in Bedford. 💙

Just finished this one for a customer in Quispamsis, NB! 💙

She chose the combination herself — the warm cognac, blue striped fabric, cream strap and gold hardware — and I absolutely love how it all came together.

One of my favourite parts of making custom bags is seeing the combinations you choose. Sometimes you put colours and textures together in a way I might not have thought of myself…and then I want one too! 😂

✨ Fresh off the sewing table!

This custom bag is finished and getting ready to make its way to its new owner in Hammond River NB 🤎

I love how this one came together — warm caramel tones, crisp geometric detail, gold hardware, and lots of those little finishing touches that make a handmade bag special.

There’s something pretty wonderful about creating a bag for one person, one at a time, and knowing exactly where it’s headed next.

Two custom crossbody bags, finished and ready for their new home here in Halifax. 🖤

There’s something especially satisfying about making a bag for someone who knows exactly what she wants — simple, practical, lightweight, and made to be used every day.

I love how the black-on-black quilting gives these bags such a classic look, with just a little shine from the Eloise hardware.

And I have to say, it feels pretty wonderful to be settling into Nova Scotia and already sewing for customers here. ❤️
