Coming up on 2 years since I started teaching myself how to sew and I've yet to sew a bag specifically for myself, so an impending trip out west to visit family was the perfect excuse!

This Aluala by .lavenderandtwine came together so perfectly! I increased the height by 2.5" and length by 3" to make the perfect carry on bag. And I LOVE her colour pop strap add on!

Now that she's (finally) opened her gift, I can share what I made for my sister's birthday a few weeks ago!
This project bag was a surprisingly simple sew and it turned out so cool. She's a crocheter, so I couldn't resist using these fabrics.
I also made a roll handle and used binding for the first time! Not sure if we're friends yet, but I'm less intimidated of those features now 😂
