I'd had my eye on this stunning since the moment I saw start working on it in her vlogs, so it was an honour to be selected to test knit it! I can always count on Marie-Ève's patterns to be so thoughtfully designed and extremely well written, and this one did not disappoint. The construction is unique, which makes knitting this top so engaging, and the clear pattern layout made the process really enjoyable. It's size inclusive, includes optional bust shaping, diagrams, and helpful video tutorial links.

I used the suggested yarn, Isageryarn Trio 2 (in the colour Sky), which I really enjoyed knitting with. It was quite splitty to crochet with on such a small hook, but going slow helped. The yarn softened up so beautifully after a soak. It's light and breathable with a really pretty drape.

Sometimes I like a really snug 56 stitch sock, sometimes I choose a slightly loose 64, but 60 stitches is my perfect number 👌

I took a short break from this project while finishing up some other ones, but I'm back working on it and enjoying it SO much! The purples were really fun to knit up, but I'm especially looking forward to the greens 😍💚

My mom gifted me a fun skein of handdyed cotton for Christmas. It would be perfect for washcloths, but I don't really end up using them. I started crocheting a stretchy market bag, but I frogged it when I admitted to myself that I probably wouldn't use that, either. What do I use? Pouches! I made a sturdy bottom by crocheting some grey cotton from my leftovers, then picked up stitches and knit the top half in the pretty handdyed yarn, and sewed in a zipper. I already have a new sock design WIP living in it ☺️ The way the colours pooled into stripes is really interesting! What should I make with the leftovers?
