Lately I’ve been saving food from going to waste with the app .can

I was so excited to see more Mississauga restaurants partnering with the app to sell discounted items that would otherwise be going to waste. There are meals, groceries, desserts, and drinks available from many different restaurants (especially in Toronto). Some even ask you to bring your own containers!

These glass jars can actually be returned to for credit and to be reused!

I’m so excited to be apart of Holiday Market this Saturday, December 4th at The Small Arms Building (Dixie and Lakeshore in Mississauga). This event has free admission and will be running from 10am-6pm 🥕

Come meet us and the many other amazing vendors like .ca (my favourite vegan donuts in Mississauga)!! 🍩

Power Over Plastic was previously a social justice initiative raising awareness about plastic pollution and ways to reduce our waste and we showcased our campaign at Mississauga VegFest in 2019! Wow have things changed quite a bit since then!

With our shampoo and conditioner bars just launched, I wanted to answer the most common question of “How do you use shampoo and conditioner bars”.

With this guide, i’m sure it will be an easy transition to washing your hair without plastic waste.

Each bar replaces the equivalent of 3 liquid bottles but i’ve found my conditioner bar has lasted me way longer (around a year).

- Revitalizing Shampoo Bar (for oily hair)
- Invigorating Conditioner bar (Normal to fine hair)

I’ve been using these both on my coloured hair for the past year and it has worked wonders
