Everyone knows if a tissue comes from a whale, it’s practically guaranteed to be the most adorable and comforting tissue on the planet! 🐋💨💙
Sniffles season is upon us! But don’t just carry your tissues in a boring plastic package, keep them tucked inside an adorable crochet whale tissue cozy!

Is ChatGPT improving or losing its touch in crafting crochet patterns? Should fiber artists, like crocheters and knitters, worry about AI encroaching on our creative domains? After trying my hand at this amigurumi teddy bear, I’m relieved to say AI isn’t quite there yet.
What’s your take? Will AI eventually master crochet pattern design, or is this a realm where human creativity will always reign supreme?

I love crochet and crafty Christmas ornaments, don't you? These are from many years ago when I decided I wanted to DIY and be "creative" with the tree decorations. I made a chain garland from fabric scraps, used fun key chains and charms, some cute amigurumi, including a starfish as the tree topper, and I added a sweet touch with cookie-inspired ornaments designed by . ⭐🍪🎄✨

Over the years I've seen your versions of this tree and each one has brought a smile to my face. I even saw one crocheter turn her tree into a little hat for her cat and my heart melted 🤗

The air has been feeling a little brisk and crisp lately. I have yet to get a PSL because it's still August but my heart is already in full autumn mode 🧡 And I don't know why but my crochet raccoon mason jar sleeve makes me think of fall and all things cozy. 🍂

Wow! I can't believe it's been nearly a decade since I designed this Ice King amigurumi! This creation was actually inspired by the episode where the Ice King adopts a "nice" personality and goes by the name The Nice King. It's one of those episodes that truly resonated with me – I can relate to wanting to embody boundless kindness, but like the Ice King, I've learned it can sometimes be emotionally taxing. It's a little reminder that we should embrace our true selves and show ourselves some kindness too. Yes, this cartoon definitely has some unexpected depth.

Have you ever made a crochet mandala? 🏵️ I found it to be one of the most relaxing and artistically expressive crochet projects.
Several years ago I was going through some life 💩 and developed a bit of crocheter's block. I was struggling with ideas and wasn't excited about making anything and when I was excited I just didn't know what to make. And then I came across crochet mandalas. I always thought they were these super complicated projects that required intense focus and imagination but after making the first one I realized, it's like freewriting or drawing doodles to get out of writer's or artist's block. There was no pressure to have a specific design or pattern, just start working stitches into a circle. It was liberating. It didn't take long before I had a bunch of beautiful and colorful mandalas. Some I followed patterns I found on the internet but most I did freehand. And one I actually wrote down and made a pattern. If you've never crocheted a mandala, I highly recommend it.
Start with a plain old circle to practice and then let your mind take a break and let the mandala's design come to life.

Since I shared the bear cozy and it's cold drink season, here's a cat cozy I made when I was going through my jar cozy drink sleeve phase 😅 I haven't made a crochet cozy in a very long time but now and then I get the urge to make one, just don't know what to make. Got any ideas?
