Jane Orlean Quilts I love showcasing designer fabric, making something cozy yet unique, made by hand with care and love. I am new to the Quilting World ( as a quilter ).

I've stumbled for years picking the right gift for friends and family, I've always wanted to make something that could last for years. So here I am. For many years I have studied and admired quilts, I love trying to figure out why I like one kind of quilt and other types give me mild anxiety. My favorite challenge is to figure out the puzzle of where the block begin and end. One day I will hopefu

lly be that advanced. Falling in love with colours, textures and patterns started at a young age, I have a self proclaimed texture fe**sh. My mind sorts by colour and my moods are altered by colours. (weirdo, I know)

Vivid memories of quilts being made by my mother and relatives will always be with me. I chose these quotes on my page, as it sums up how I feel about quilts and what they mean to me. I think there is a place for modern quilts and fabrics to be showcased and passed down to other generations. I want to make these with love and have it loved by others ...for a long time, so here I go ...

Looking to switch up the walls you’re staring at but wanting something weird yet fresh, original and local??!

Whelp..

I’ve decided to sell a few of my watercolour (with marker/ink) paintings.

They are each 7.5 x 11 and $30 each (plus mailing fees).
(Or 2 for $50)

When you finally finish the quilt you've been love/hating for over a year and that I started when I was 8 months pregnant. 🎉💃🏼🍷😳
What a patient client they were.

It's been so long since I've posted, worked on a quilt, or finished one. Who knew pregnancy would drive my motion sickness into overdrive, and keep me more sensitive to nausea even a year after a baby.

So as they say, back in the saddle.

This is a queen size quilt made from concert tshirts and upcycled backings of the shirts for the solid black squares. This project was beyond tedious and was 2 things I swore I'd never do again 1) queen size 2) anything tshirt. The challenge of it all despite my resistance, was gladly accepted, and I'm so glad I did it and so pleased with its turn out.
