Join me at .ca on October 25 for a darning workshop! 🧶

There’s something for everyone: absolute beginners can start their very first darn, and more experienced darners can try more complex mends 🧦🧣

I’ll even have some needle felting supplies so you can cover your moth-eaten cashmere in polka dots - it’s a lot of fun, trust me!

Pictured: one of my students doing an amazing sock mend! Swipe to see my experimental darning work with gradient yarn on a pair of commercial socks 🧵🪡

I will be leading a Sashiko workshop at Anime North, on Sunday, May 25, from 9-11 AM in the Delta Hamilton Room 🌸

I believe there are two tickets left, so if you have an Anime North ticket and are interested in joining, follow the link in my bio to register! All proceeds go towards Anime North 🌀

I am so excited to work with AN for the third year; I cannot wait to see everyone's cosplay and Japanese fashion - it is a huge highlight of my summer🎉

& special thank-you to for assisting me, I really appreciate it!

Learn to darn more than just socks! 🧦

In this class I’ll teach you how to weave over holes in knitted garments, as well as how to repair wool with needle-felting! We’ll talk about beautiful visible repairs, and more subtle fixes as well.

All supplies are included, all you need to bring along are your well-loved clothing (and matching yarns, if you have any!) 🪡🧶

Worked on top of ‘s collage, to create a sample for an embroidery on paper workshop - part of “The Little Things” series for YWCA Toronto. Working with Leah is always a privilege (and so much fun!).

Some more details : Ryan used tea to paint on top of the collage. I believe used images from Studio Magazine and some of my other craft magazines. My threads were hand-dyed using madder and goldenrod (with the exception of the green at the top of the image, which is a DMC floss).

Thank you for joining me for “Embroidery with Intention: Sashiko & Symbolism” hosted by ! Sara trusted me to teach a new take on my sashiko workshop, where I showed participants different ways to incorporate symbolism into their stitching projects.

This is a small talisman I created based on yabane (arrow feathers) and a sword. Arrows symbolize moving forward, and swords can stand for decisiveness - I hope that this patch can remind me to make confident decisions.

Thank you for hosting, Sara, this was a fun opportunity! 🪡🧵

Join me & Studio Mooi for a comprehensive beginner sashiko mending workshop: Thursday, September 05, 6:30-9:30 PM.

Embrace autumn, the season of transition, and learn hand-sewing techniques that will extend the life of your clothing. Sashiko is a method of visible mending originating in Japan during the Edo period. In this workshop, I will help you create a patch to mend a garment, while giving you some of the historical and cultural context behind indigo dyeing and sashiko.
