We are saddened to have to part with a few of our baby models! This sweet full silicone baby doll is the Andrea sculpt by the Spanish artist Monica Parres.
We have enjoyed this true to size newborn boy for 10 years! He poured in the eco 30 silicone. Thus he is the firm style but his limbs are flexible, yet have no armatures. His mouth was opened by the artist, and takes a pacifier or bottle ni**le.
His sleeping eyes have little rooted lashes.
As with many silicone babies, especially older style ones, or firsts for an artist.
This baby does have a few rough areas, his lips could use retouching as do his heals and one palm, as the paint is a bit less.
He has the textured skin tone of a just born baby, and has been expertly micro rooted with auburn mohair.
He is about 22 inches long and almost 9 lbs. This baby was made a boy by the artist, so that extra body part was added...though with the stiffness of the silicone and sitting the doll, this boy part has separated a bit.
(The artist did inform us this is not going to cause any fear of the 'part' separating fully.)
We have not attempted to 'fix' this or his coloring as we loved him as he was.
We feel a skilled silicone artist could refresh this sweet boy with ease.
