Finishing up some Ouch Pouches today. ✨

The finishing stage is one of my favourite parts of the process—it gives me a chance to slow down and appreciate all the little details that make these handy “go-to” pouches so special. Designed to hold Band-Aids and a few basic first aid essentials, they’re perfect for tucking into a purse, backpack, glove box, or travel bag so you’re prepared for life’s little mishaps.

From choosing the fabrics to adding the final zipper pull, it’s the small touches that make each one unique.

I’ve finished up my first four markets of the year, and I’m so grateful for everyone who’s stopped by, said hello, or taken home a thread & pepper piece.

These are one of my absolute favourite things to make.
Each bag opens wide and stays open, making it easy to see everything at a glance. A durable denim base, soft cotton lining, and an extra-long zipper with a snap-on handle make them perfect for hanging, looping, or clipping to your suitcase or project bag.

Every patchwork panel is completely unique — sewn from the leftover pieces in my studio and scraps shared by other local makers (this batch you might recognize some from 💕) turning small offcuts into something colourful, functional, and long-lasting.
