Michelle is one of the brightest lights I've ever had the honor of witnessing. There's not a chance you leave her presence without feeling a little lighter in your step. It's our time to prop her up & give her all the love she deserves, especially in this time of healing. ✨️🤍

We need your help.

Michelle Loreta has been a part of the Laketown family for several years. As part of the operations crew, you may have seen her scooting around in a golf cart, building fences, hanging signs, or just generally working hard to help put on the concerts and festivals at Laketown Ranch.

Or you may caught her angelic voice on one of our stages, or at many other local venues up and down the Island, singing alongside her partner Mike in the dreamy folk duo From The Earth.

Michelle has recently received a thyroid cancer diagnosis, and will be undergoing treatments & procedures over the coming months.

Music is not only Michelle’s purpose, it is her livelihood. Her voice is how she supports herself and shares her gift with the world. During this period when she cannot perform, a GoFundMe page has been created as a way for us to stand beside her. It gives us a chance to return some of the love, beauty, and inspiration she has given us through her art, her faith, and her presence.

The start of summer Market Season wasn't exactly how we'd hoped...our little household came down with a terrible bug & all the while I'm hobbling around with a knee that doesn't want to play along, no matter how many surgeries I seem to collect along the way.

A few bumps in the road later, we are feeling healthier & the knees are moving as best they know how 😅
Back at the QB farmers market this Saturday AM! A load of new leather cuffs, so many new purses & designs, & some real fun hats of course.

Come see us & all the wonderful vendors at the Qualicum Beach Farmers Market night market happening next Thursday evening. It's the only night market they'll be hosting & it's sure to be a great one.

So excited to have this gorgeous collection by .together in the shop! Her creations are just so stunning and unique. When I say I curate the entire shop, this is what I mean. I hand pick every piece/person who’s pieces are displayed. I support small business owners (and individual makers) who have more than just pretty things to offer. These people are truly one of a find in every way. When you buy for yourself and your loved ones at .mercantile, you’re buying from some of the most amazing, thoughtful, creative, and lovely humans I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.
