A masterclass in patience 🧵✨ Here is exactly how this gorgeous bandhej piece came to life:
1️⃣ The Blueprint: The pattern is traced onto plain fabric using washable ink.
2️⃣ The Tying: Artisans pluck and tightly tie thousands of tiny sections with thread to resist the dye.
3️⃣ The Dyeing: The fabric takes a dip in the dye baths, layering colors from lightest to darkest.
4️⃣ The Reveal: The threads are popped open to reveal the iconic, intricate dotted print underneath.
Tie the dots, dye the fabric, stretch it out. Pure art. 😮‍💨🔥
