I am Chris and live in Biel/Bienne, a multicultural industrial city in Switzerland, where more than 150 different nationalities live. As a professional social worker, I spend a lot of time with people who live on the edge of society under modest circumstances. That work has influenced me in my thinking and gave me an insight of the downside of the medal of a so-called social state. Especially these experiences have moved me to start Gripping Life.

Influenced by Street Art, Pop Art, Hip Hop and Punk Culture, I express from my point of view how society is feeling about it. This work allows me to break out of the current norms. I would probably freak out or be a criminal if I couldn’t do what I do. For me, being creative is a liberating process.
