BAMBALANG–BAFANJI ROAD FACES COLLAPSE AS DETERIORATION WORSENS

NGOKETUNJIA, North West Region — Motorists and residents along the Bambalang–Bafanji road are grappling with worsening travel conditions as the vital corridor linking the North West and West regions deteriorates.

Sections of the road have suffered severe erosion, leaving parts of the stretch on the verge of collapse. The damage has made passage increasingly difficult for vehicles and commercial transporters.

The poor state of the road has led to slower traffic, increased transport fares, and disruptions in the movement of passengers, agricultural produce, and other goods.

Local residents and road users are calling on the relevant authorities to urgently rehabilitate the strategic route before it becomes completely impassable
