Ndop is more than fabric. Hand-dyed in indigo and passed down through generations of artisans in the Grassfields of Western Cameroon, it has long been the cloth of royalty and ceremony , worn to mark who you are and where you come from.
We take that same cloth, woven and dyed by hand, and build it into footwear made for the way you live now. The espadrilles. The tasselled slides. Cognac leather, braided jute, indigo cotton. No two pairs read exactly alike, because no two lengths of Ndop ever do.
This is heritage you don't hang on a wall. You wear it. #237

Day 7 at SIARC 2026 ✨🇨🇲

Today, we celebrated the rich cultural heritage of Cameroon’s West and North West (Grassfields) Regions. From the beautifully decorated villages adorned with Ndop fabric to handcrafted royal chairs, bronze masterpieces, and vibrant cultural performances, every moment reflected the beauty of our traditions.

One of the highlights was witnessing the traditional dances, fashion showcases, and the presentation of the iconic Bamoun Ntenture woven fabric. I was also proud to showcase my own outfit made from this timeless handwoven textile—a true symbol of our heritage.

Every day at SIARC reminds us that our culture is our identity, and our artisans are the guardians of this priceless legacy.

Day 6 at SIARC 2026 ✨🇨🇲

Another incredible day celebrating the richness of Cameroon’s cultural heritage! From discovering inspiring artisans creating floral accessories, healthy local food products, and stunning beaded jewelry, to witnessing the vibrant traditions of the Grand Nord during the Journée Patrimoniale, every moment was a reminder of the beauty and diversity of our culture.

We were especially inspired by the creativity of artisans who transform everyday local materials into extraordinary works of art.

The journey continues, and so does our passion for preserving and promoting African craftsmanship.
