4) Charles Arpels of &Arpels invented it in the 1930s (specifically 1934) , but many jewellers and designers have added their own twist over the years.

5) Fashion journalist Lloyd Boston states that ''a minaudiere constitutes an 'essential' part of an evening wardrobe, a small object with NO LIMIT to its usefulness, and a 'fabulous character'".
