TOPIC: popular softeners used in dyeing mills for different fabrics.
Softeners are used widely in fabric dyeing mills, like amino silicone oil, hydrophilic and hydrophobic block silicone oil, ester quaternary softener paste, fatty acid softener flake etc. Today let us talk about amino silicone oil.
Amino silicone oil is a kind of polydimethylsiloxane, whose side chains contain amino groups, forming a high-molecular structure with Si-O-Si as the main chain. It imparts outstanding softness, smooth, lubricity and gloss properties.
NH2 group can be easily connected with cellulose fiber OH- group to give good softness. In addition, CH3 and OH- from ended group(R) can be self crosslinked on surface, whcih can impart super smooth hand feel.
So amino silicone oil is still super soft and smooth hand feel for cellulose fiber and polyester blends fabric with hydrophobic since 30 years ago, meanwhile best cost effective compare with block silicone oil right now.
Various softener mix solution can help dyeing mills give super good hand feel and best cost.
