Children’s Foot Health: Why Wide-Toe Barefoot Shoes Are Gaining Attention

As a footwear manufacturer, we’ve been paying closer attention to children’s foot development.

Many traditional children’s shoes have narrow toe boxes that can squeeze the toes and limit their natural movement. Over time, this may affect arch development, balance, and overall walking posture. Wide-toe, zero-drop barefoot shoes are designed to let children’s feet move more naturally. They allow the toes to spread freely—similar to being barefoot—while still providing the protection needed for daily activities.
