A closer look at colour.

Behind the precise contrasts of MYKITA bi- and multi-colour frames is a meticulous sequence of manual processes. Individual areas are masked by hand before lacquering, sometimes to fractions of a millimetre, before excess colour is carefully removed and every transition refined.

Whether combining different lacquer tones or lacquer with PVD-coated surfaces, each colour composition requires its own sequence of precise finishing steps.

From 1 to 16 August, MYKITA Fukuoka welcomes an exhibition by Kagoshima-based plant studio Araheam and ceramic studio ONE KILN.
