Inspired by the style, music and dance of the Argentinean Tango, BETTINA MARIA creates one-of-a-kind fashion for sophisticated International clientele. This unique fashion is meant to make you feel stylish, well dressed, playful, feminine and sexy! After 15 years of work in High Fashion on the West Coast of California, the designer BETTINA MARIA was tired of the stressful demands of constant deadl

ines creating several collections a year, running her own gallery, 10 employees, supplying over forty high fashion boutiques in the US with her Art To Wear garments. Her life changed dramatically discovering the Tango in San Francisco, which became her sanctuary to unwind from. This discovery led her to move to Buenos Aires in 2007, literally living and breathing Tango for three consecutive years. Inspired by the creative energy of the city and its many fabulous dancers, seeing some of the best stage performances, but also by her own engagement and training in the dance hours a day, made her channel the many colorful impressions and emotions into her own art. BETTINA MARIA'S fashion embodies a true international fusion of cultures: the spirit of the Californian Westcoast, the style and couture of her native Europe and a piece of Buenos Aires' passionate darkly tales. Her dramatic evening dresses and flowing skirts carry the fragrance of Tango, conveying a sense of femininity, sensuality and poetry. Yet, unlike most other "Tango Fashions" - due to her background and intent - her fashion can be worn on and off the dance floor and surpass the association of historic tango fashion with lace, glitter and feather boas. Bettina has created her own unique contemporary style mix. The designer personally shops for fabrics wherever she goes, most are found on the West Coast, coming from China, Iran and India, but also in Berlin, where her Atelier is, she discovers many amazing fabrics from Italy, Switzerland, Germany and Turkey. Each piece is individually made with love for detail, with love for Tango, with love for beauty! For professional performers, individual custom creations are available upon request. I am so excited to finally be going to Torino, my first time ever! It is also that I will show my fashion collection the first time in Torino!

With many thanks to the organizer Mario Giattino, whose great concept for this festival was already designed 3 years ago : "Dos mundos, una familia". And each time, due to the Covid restrictions, it got cancelled! He never gave up, and, finally, we hope to see as many of you in Torino to celebrate CARAS DE TANGO!

I am so happy to announce that COSTUME COUTURE BERLIN will be part of the first OSTERTANGO Festival again after this loooong Corona Break!
OSTERTANGO has been an annual Tango highlight for me for almost a decade! Not only as a fantastic showcase for my work, but also the most incredible tandas with some of the best dancers in Europe, the longest party hours, meeting outstanding professional dancers, musicians and DJ’s from all over Europe - and, needless to say, getting to know many new clients, some of who have become real friends.
I recommend every passionate dancer to join this Tango Easter Celebration in 2022 in Basel!

Liebe Freunde, KundInnen, Lovers of Tango,
Momentan erleben wir einen herzbrechenden Moment mit unserer Tango Kultur weltweit. Viele Tango Professionals aus aller Welt sind hart getroffen, ob Performer, Musiker, Designer - uns wurde durch die Corona Massnahmen die Ausdrucks- und Versammlungsmöglichkeit in der Tango Community genommen, so wie wir diese geliebt und geschaffen haben über viele Jahre.
Mein Interview ist ein kleiner Beitrag, den Tango am Leben zu halten, Menschen damit zu inspirieren und zu erinnern, was für eine wunderschöne Kultur dieser darstellt, und was für ein Geschenk diese Kulturform generell in der Landschaft von Tanz und Kreativität darstellt: Tango gibt uns den "Abrazzo" - die getanzte, erlebte Umarmung zweier Menschen, die mit Freude, mit Emotion etwas teilen und erleben können, was zutiefst menschlich und heilend ist.
