Tatjana Isaj produces a variety of stunning hand made designs. Her passion as a designer is rooted in her childhood, when she used to visit her grandmother in the countryside. Every day, late in the evening, the village girls congregated together and made various crafts, working until dawn. Even when Tatjana was just a litte girl, she began to learn slowly and improved day by day, up until high sc
hool. Tatjana has always sewed everything by hand, even after she had moved to Germany. For her precious only daughter, Tatjana made blouses, trousers, shorts and even a nice evening dress by thread and needle. Working daily to create new models for herself, her family, her mother and her friends, Tatjana kept fueling a cycle of new ideas and designs. Every time she visited her home country, Tatjana would create something new and special. It's been more than a half decade since Tatjana has moved back to Tirana, and in this time, Tatjana has been thinking about new ideas. Last summer, Tatjana spent three months in Campocologno, a village in Switzerland close to Saint Moritz, where they studied with an old woman, a former designer for an Opera House in Belgium for 50 years. The woman taught them how to manage the work and how to make hats and other interesting things. After this, not a question was left in Tatjana's mind regarding her future work. What she learned in the Swiss Alps will continue to fuel her creative passion for a long time to come. Since then Tatjana has opened a small design studio and workspace. Her outfitted creations are inspired by objects of simple daily life. Motifs that surround us every day: from a doily decoration to thumbnails making a cross on the wall. Tatjana is drawn to these decorations, because she understands that this style, when hand-made, fits perfectly to the female body, highlighting a woman's elegance and sensuality. The original idea sprouted from Tatjana's own madness. At first she attempted to tackle her creativity solo, trying to fix an outfit on her kitchen table. But then she garnered the courage to employ a few handicraft workers, household women with home-based fantasies. Tatjana adores attention to detail, and it's from this obsession that she dreams up her motifs, exited by the big vision of the dress, not hindered by fear of producing something so out-of-the-ordinary. Through this process, Tatjana manages to exceed the bounds of reality, and it's gone well so far! Tatjana has just produced her first runway fashion show, and the work continues... Her staff is perfect for the job, and they're learning to trust her visions. Once the materials leave the women's hands, the liners are carefully added, and finally, the decorative stones (made by the well-known stylist Holta Dusha, who is very talented, passionate and fond of her job). It is understood that production cost increases upon creating high quality and special clothing. A combination of contemporary and old motifs, Tatjana's outfits are very appropriate to this time and people. Everything is realized in a spectrum of uniqueness.
