Reader's Digest featured Galley Bay Resort and Spa in a story on the birding boom — and it's easy to see why.
The resort's protected lagoon, mangrove ecosystems and surrounding wetlands are home to 45+ species, including the endangered West Indian whistling duck. As owner James Lane Jr. put it, even guests who'd never call themselves birders find that slowing down to watch becomes the most memorable part of their trip — with a rise uptick in guests who are seeking out experiences that help them slow down.
