If you only look at the print, you’re missing half of the design. The fabric itself is cut by hand following the wave pattern, so the silhouette becomes part of the artwork. It takes longer to produce, but it’s also what makes this fan immediately recognisable.

A lot of our designs start with sketches. Natura didn’t. We wanted to see how colours would naturally blend into each other before deciding what the final fan would look like. Green, blue and visible brushstrokes became the starting point, not the finishing touch. That’s why no part of this design feels rigid. It keeps the spontaneity of the original painting.
