Today, no happy market picture from me. 🥺

This week, our market colleague Laurent passed away… Way too early.

For almost ten years, I saw Laurent at the market every week, except when I was travelling. Seeing someone every week for so many years… that just does something to you. It feels so strange that he is suddenly not there anymore.

Laurent made rings out of coins. Every time I travelled to an exotic country, I brought coins back for him. He was always so grateful for them.

Last week, he presented his golden Es Vedrà rings and he was so proud of his stand. He made my weekly market picture, and afterwards he said that he also wanted a video of his stall. He was so proud and said, “My stall is so full today…”

He wasn’t ready yet when I was ready, and then it became busy. Either I had customers, or he had customers. At the end of the day, he sent me a sad emoji and we agreed to make a video next week.

Next week never came…

Really. Life is short.

Hug that friend. Make love. Go over your fears and go on an adventure. Don’t be afraid of what can happen. Believe that it can only become better.

Laurent, rest in peace. 🕊️

You will be missed. ❤️
