MOVIES: a playlist curated by Christophe Lemaire.

This playlist gathers titles from the original soundtracks of auteur cinema – modernist fragments from films by Resnais, Kurosawa, and Lynch, as well as experimental visual essays. The pieces move between melodic orchestral compositions with percussion, flutes, and strings, and atmospheric tension.

European art cinema folds into post-war Japan, American noir into the French New Wave. Featuring composers such as Bernard Herrmann, Nino Rota, and Trent Reznor, it conjures a nocturnal, psychological world of interiority and suspense.

“A Box of Impressions” is a box-sized photographic exhibition that draws inspiration from the unique architecture and cultural heritage of the Palais Royal.

Co-curated by Lou Stoppard and Sarah-Linh Tran, the exhibition invites 21 photographers to consider daily observation, ephemerality, and the intersections between public and private.
