Handloom doesn’t need to be remembered for a day. It needs to remain relevant every day.
For us at Rustic Hue®, working with handloom has never been about preserving something merely because it belongs to the past. It is about keeping knowledge, skills, communities and cultural identities alive by giving them a meaningful place in the present.
Our Bapta revival project is one such journey. Revisiting a textile tradition, working with the hands that hold its knowledge, and reimagining it without taking away its soul.
This National Handloom Day, we celebrate not just the loom, but continuity. A craft truly survives when it continues to be made, worn, valued and passed forward.
Not nostalgia. A living legacy.
