There’s a very complicated process involved in making a birthday jumper…

You put a plain jumper in a box.
Add a needle.
Close the lid.
Press START.
And obviously… a hand embroidered birthday jumper magically appears. ✨😂

If only it were actually that easy.

Behind the “magic” is hours of stitching, lots of concentration, probably a few accidental needle pricks and one very happy little birthday girl/boy waiting to wear it. 🧵💕

This one was made with a big embroidered 2 for a very special second birthday 🎂

Birthdays only come around once a year and I think they deserve something a little bit special.

Handmade slowly.
Stitched with love.
Made to be worn, loved and remembered. 🤍

The best part of my job isn't the finished pieces, it's what these pieces mean to my wonderful customers. 🥹

A little while ago I shared this blanket with only the name embroidered, keeping the rest of the design a surprise as I wanted the moment mum unfolded it to be just for her. 🎁

The mum asked if it was possible to include her newborn's birth flowers. So I added delicate pink roses and matching honey suckle into the design. 💐

Then I received these messages...
"I cried at the blanket - it's just perfect 💗🌹"
"Your design is everything I imagined and more. It couldn't be more perfect!! X"

Those words mean more than I can put into writing. 🥰

Every stitch is made with the hope that it becomes more than a blanket or a jumper. I hope it becomes part of a family's story, wrapped around tiny moments that they'll remember long after it's been folded away. 🎁

This is exactly why I do what I do. 🤍

Maybe it's just a trend...
Or maybe we're all starting to slow down a little.

Choosing fewer things, but choosing them with more intention. Looking for gifts that tell a story, outfits that become keepsakes, and pieces that mean something long after they've been outgrown.

That's exactly why I love what I do. Every knit is embroidered by hand, one stitch at a time and made especially for one little person. No two are ever quite the same and I think that's what makes them so special.

Because this business wasn't built in a fancy studio.

It was built in coffee shops while one child coloured and the other wanted snacks every five minutes.

In the garden while making the most of a sunny afternoon.

On the sofa after bedtime.

In all the little pockets of time that motherhood leaves behind.

Every stitch has been made around family life and I wouldn't have it any other way. 🤍

So if you've ever wondered where your keepsake began... it probably started with a coffee going cold and someone shouting, "Muuuum!" 😂

You'll never guess this baby name...

Not because it's rare.
Not because it's unusual.
But because I've become very good at keeping secrets. 🤍

One of my favourite parts of creating personalised keepsakes is being trusted with such special moments before the rest of the world gets to see them. Every tiny stitch holds a little piece of someone's story and I love being part of that. 🎁

Soon this little knit will help announce a name that's been loved long before it's been shared... but until then, my lips are sealed. 🤫✨

Some people see a basket of yarn offcuts, my husband sees rubbish. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Me? Oh, I see a treasure trove. 🪎

Every tiny piece is saved because I know it'll become something special. On this Daisy cardigan, these little snippets are becoming the centres of each flower. But on another order? They might become tiny bee wings, a snail's shell, ladybird spots, a bird's beak, flower petals... or another little embroidered detail. 🧶

It's one of my favourite parts of hand embroidery. Nothing goes to waste and even the smallest scraps get their moment to shine. ✨
