When I was young I was in Regent’s Park with my mum and were hurrying to see something/someone - We were rushing through the rose garden when I was hit by the most incredible scent. I asked to stop so we could enjoy it. Interesting that is my memory and not what it was who it was we were going to see. No idea why we were in London either as home was Stirlingshire in Scotland but I do strongly remember making mum stop just so we could smell the roses. A core memory for me.

The joy I get from the first sweet pea of the year is always so much bigger than the delicate flower. I love sweet peas. These are planted in an old water trough in the yard outside my kitchen window. 😁
