📣 Announcement (TW - Pregnancy Loss)

Hi Everyone,
On 29th April 2026 my pregancy ended in a miscarriage. As this is my 2nd in the space of a year, I will be taking the some time off to process this loss. I am not closing, only reducing my work load for a while.

I will be in touch with those who have bookings this week. Those with bookings after 11th May will not be affected and I will aim to complete existing work as soon as I can. I will keep my diary open for June onwards.

I want to thank the support I've had and for everyone's understanding. This wasn't easy to share, I thought it was important to clarify as I was intending to reopen my diary at this point and I know some people have been waiting to hear back from me about booking in.

I have some big things for this year which I will be focusing on which will allow me to do more with HemHouse.

Watch this space, I will be back bigger and better.

Busy Season at Hem House

Thank you so much for all the continued support, it’s been an incredibly busy start to the year!

Due to a very full workload over the next few months, my booking slots are now completely full and I’ve temporarily closed new bookings while I work through the current queue.

If you already have an appointment booked, everything will go ahead as planned and I’ll be in touch when your item is ready.

I’ll post an update as soon as new booking slots reopen. Thank you again for keeping Hem House so busy, I really appreciate it.

Hello Everyone! What. A. Year!

Thank you for all your support especially during the more challenging times weve experienced as a family over the past year. I just can't thank you all for your kindness enough!

Thank you to the Ardrishaig Community Trust for giving me the opportunity to meet HRH Princess Anne, truly has been the highlight of 2025.

I will be closing the shop in December to give my machines a service and the space a bit of a declutter. Dont worry! I'll be back in January 2026!

My last day for dropping off work will be 11/11/2025 for new jobs. This doesn't affect previous bookings in my calendar or existing work I have.

Once again thank you all to everyone in Ardrishaig and the surrounding areas, and everyone who supported me in this venture. I'll see you in 2026!

🌿 **Hem House Update** 🌿

Thank you so much to everyone for your patience and kind messages while I took a little break — it’s truly appreciated. I’m now starting to take on work again and looking forward to getting back to it!

A couple of quick updates:

🗓️ **Upcoming Closures**
Hem House will be closed on the following dates for family holidays and a wedding:
• **25th July – 3rd August**
• **31st August – 8th September**

👶 **New Hours from August**
With our little one starting nursery, I’ll be making a few tweaks to my opening hours to fit around changes in childcare.

• **Tuesdays will remain walk-in days** (no appointment needed).

Hem House Update

Hem House will be closed until Tuesday 17th June, and possibly a little longer. I’ve had a personal loss and need some time to rest and recover.

I’ll do my best to get back to messages and calls when I can, but replies may be delayed during this time. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and kindness.

We are well and truly into 2025 now and I have to say January was alot busier than anticipated - that's a good thing!

I'm now also fully booked for bridal alterations until May 2025. If you're getting married in June 2025 or after I'd highly suggest booking sooner rather than later as I have limited availability for bridal alterations.

For day to day clothing alterations, I'm now fully booked for February. I'll still have appointment slots available but please bare in mind that work will be completed for Early March.
