A recent bespoke embroidery project creating branded beauty headbands for Char .

To match her brand identity perfectly, I sourced the closest font base and custom-tweaked the typography stitch-by-stitch so it mirrored her exact logo. Paired with this stunning sage green thread on crisp white terry cloth, the finished pieces turned out so clean and chic. 🌿🪡

Crochet will always have a special place in my heart because it was the very first craft I ever learned. 💛

When I was 12 years old, one of my childhood friends taught me how to hold a crochet hook, make a slip knot and create my very first stitches. I had no idea at the time that such a simple lesson would spark a lifelong love of making.

That one afternoon opened the door to a whole world of creativity. Since then, I’ve spent years learning and exploring everything from embroidery and sewing to quilting and countless other crafts. Looking back, it all started with crochet. It lit the crafty fire in me, and I haven’t looked back since.

Now I’d love to pass that feeling on to someone else.

If you’ve always wanted to learn crochet, or you’re looking for a new creative hobby, come and join me for my Introduction to Crochet Workshop at The Crafted Corner. Together we’ll learn the basics, including how to make a slip knot, foundation chain, essential stitches and how to read a simple crochet pattern while creating your very own coaster.

I’m so excited to be hosting my Introduction to Crochet workshops at The Crafted Corner this August!

Whether you’ve always admired handmade crochet pieces or you’ve been looking for a new creative hobby, this beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect place to start.

During this relaxed and supportive 2-hour session, you’ll learn:
🧶 How to make a slip knot
🧶 How to create a foundation chain
🧶 The standard crochet stitches
🧶 How to read simple crochet patterns

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have made your very own crocheted coaster to take home and the confidence to continue your crochet journey.

On Monday 4th August, 12pm–2pm, we’ll be learning the basics of modern hand embroidery and creating your very own personalised floral letter hoop 🌸🪻🌿
