From the moment I wake up, I’m needed. Snacks, cuddles, lost shoes, big feelings, tiny emergencies. By the time everyone else is sorted, there’s nothing left in the tank for me. Showers feel like luxury. Silence feels suspicious.

And on the rare occasion I do take five minutes for myself? The mum guilt creeps in. That little voice that says I should be doing more, giving more, being more.

It’s strange how you can love your children with every fibre of your being and still miss the version of you who had space to think, rest, just be.

I wouldn’t trade this life. Not for anything. But some days it’s heavy. Some days I’m exhausted in a way sleep doesn’t fix.

If you’re feeling that too — torn between needing time for yourself and feeling guilty for wanting it — I see you. We’re not selfish. We’re human. And we deserve care too. 🤍
