🌿✨ Another fantastic Stay & Play session this morning! ✨🌿

What a wonderful morning of exploring, creating and making memories together in nature. 💚

The children loved exploring our woodland tuff tray filled with pinecones, wood slices, conkers, woodland animals and lots of loose parts. It sparked so much imagination, curiosity and creative play as they discovered all the different treasures. 🍂🪵🦔

Our rose petal water tray was, as always, one of the most popular activities! 🌹💧 There was plenty of scooping, pouring and serving up beautifully scented cups of pretend tea. Water play is such a fantastic way to develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and early mathematical thinking.

There was lots of squishing, squashing and rolling at our natural playdough table too! Using the rolling pins and cutters helps strengthen little hands and fingers, building those all-important muscles for future writing. 🌿🌼

The children also enjoyed getting creative by making their own stick nature bracelets, decorating them with feathers, leaves, petals and colourful paper cut-outs. It was lovely to see their imaginations shine and each bracelet become completely unique. 🪶🍁🎨

We finished the session gathered around the campfire, enjoying a warm hot chocolate, singing our favourite songs and making music together with instruments. 🔥☕🎶

Nature play offers so many wonderful benefits for little ones. It encourages confidence, communication, creativity and problem-solving, while supporting their wellbeing and providing endless opportunities for sensory exploration and learning through play. 🌈🍃

☀️ What a beautiful sunshine-filled morning at Stay & Play today! 💛🌼

We had so much fun building our fine motor skills with our 🍃✂️ leaf cutting and stamping activity. Lots of little hands were busy creating!

💦 Our water tray was bursting with pond life! 🐸🦆 We explored frogs through every stage of their life cycle, watched the ducks enjoy a swim, and the sprinkler brought plenty of squeals, splashes and giggles! 😂💧

🎨 We got wonderfully messy creating a group muddy masterpiece, using mud and grass paints to make a one-of-a-kind canvas. 🌿🤎

🏖️ At our seaside-themed table, we squished, squeezed and shaped our sand doh into castles 🏰, decorating them with shells 🐚 and sea creatures 🐠🦀.

✨ We still have spaces available on our Wednesday 15th July session – we’d love for you to join us!

🌸 Our next Stay & Play sessions are almost here, and the forecast is looking beautiful! ☀️🌿

No need to worry about the heat – our woodland site is beautifully sheltered by the trees, giving your little ones plenty of cool, shady spaces to explore, play and have fun. 🌳💚 plus there is always some water play to cool off with!

☀️🌳 What a wonderful sunny morning we had at our Stay & Play Session today! The temperature was just perfect in our shady little woodland retreat. 💚✨

🌊🐠 We cooled off with our sea-themed water tray, helping to save the ocean animals by scooping plastic waste into the recycling basket. Little eco heroes in action! ♻️💙

🫘🏰 We planted some magical beans and added a castle to our pots. We can’t wait to see how tall our beanstalks grow at home! 🌱✨

🍕🌿 Our nature pizza station was a big hit, with lots of squishing, squeezing and decorating dough creations with wonderful natural toppings! 🍃🌼

🚜🐄 Old MacDonald paid us a visit too, bringing along a farm-themed sensory tray complete with mud, grass and cereal hay bales. E-I-E-I-O! 🎶🐷

🥧🍂 Over at the mud kitchen, our little chefs were busy making delicious mud pies and serving up leaf tea to their friends. ☕🌿👩‍🍳

With the hot weather continuing, it’s important our little ones are safe and comfortable during our play sessions🌞

Around 90% of our outdoor site is shaded 🌳, helping everyone stay cool while having fun!

To help keep your little one safe in the sunshine, please ensure they arrive with:

🧴 Sun cream – apply before arriving

👒 Hat – wide-brimmed hats offer the best protection for faces and necks

💧 Hydration – bring a named water bottle (squash will also be provided)

👕 Clothing – lightweight long sleeves are ideal, helping protect against the sun, scratches, and nettles 🌱

☀️ What a fantastic sunny morning we had at Wonder Bugs today! 🐞🌿

Our little explorers loved cooling off with a beautifully scented 🍋🌱 lemon and mint water tray, where they enjoyed pouring, mixing and splashing together 💦

We got creative making our very own egg box caterpillars 🐛✨, decorating them in every colour of the rainbow 🌈 with fuzzy antennae and googly eyes 👀

Over at the Wonder Bugs Café 👩‍🍳🍃, we whipped up some deliciously muddy meals using grass, soil and leaves 🥣🌱🪵

We also explored our animal-themed sensory tray 🦁🐘, discovering lots of different habitats and the creatures that call them home 🏕️🌍
