This collection of female sculptures is a celebration of women’s beauty, strength, wisdom, and spirit. Each figure emerges from the elemental journey of clay, embodying resilience, transformation, and the power of becoming.
Among them is a striking naked Raku sculpture, finished with the ancient horsehair firing technique. The delicate carbon markings created by the burning horsehair make every piece entirely unique—a testament to the beauty found in authenticity, vulnerability, and imperfection.
These sculptures honour the feminine in all its forms: grounded in the Earth, flowing with Water, transformed through Fire, and lifted by Air.
Every woman is a force of nature.

I’ve been completely focused on this female form, shaping each curve with care, patience, and dedication. I’m really happy with how she’s progressing.
One thing that continually fascinates me is observing the making process itself—watching a piece evolve and reveal its character over time. Sometimes the smallest push or subtle adjustment to the clay can create the most dramatic change in the form.
She’s still a work in progress, but I’m loving the journey and where she’s taking me.

Amanda Silk’s Scribble Studio 6 Weeks Pottery Course was a joy! Every week we would focus on a different technique and learn something new. I was introduced to schools and artists I didn’t know before like Troika Pottery and Alberto Giacometti. Amanda is an absolute fantastic teacher. A lot of the sessions I would look at the project and think that there was no way I could do something like that but left every single time with a smile on my face and a pottery piece that I was proud of. What a fantastic way to spend a couple of hours “me” time and learn something new!

My friend and I took part in a 6 week course where we spent 2 wonderful hours every Thursday evening. It was such a lovely experience. Two hours to not be on our phones or thinking about work and just immerse ourselves in something creative was invaluable. RAKU! Goddess Workshop From earth to essence… ✨
In the stillness of my Bedfordshire studio, a goddess begins to emerge — her form shaped through ancient clay techniques, each curve and contour guided by intuition and reverence. Hands in clay, I become both creator and witness, sculpting not just a figure, but a sacred priestess energy.
This piece was carefully hand-built, her spirit slowly awakened through coiling and smoothing, grounding her in the timeless language of the earth.

Workshop Part 2
Then came the transformation 🔥 Fired in a microwave Raku kiln, the flames danced wildly — igniting more than just the surface. The fire awakened her soul, breathing life into the goddess charm she now holds. Smoke, heat, and alchemy sealed her story into every crackle and mark.
She is strength. She is ritual. She is rebirth.
