Christmas Day knitting and relaxing with the beautiful rustic yarn. A lovely fun yarn to knit with. I have started the mitten with two natural sheep colours grey and cream. So far the colour-work is looking great and the added extra to colour work looking gorgeous is the warmth two strands will give making a thicker cosier fabric.

Christmas pressie Knit! Sidetrack project that has taken me away from my advent socks. Nearly done tho so fingers crossed can pick those up again. I do like knitting with different colours held together. You get some great abstract patterns!

Christmas countdown! Advent begins! I have just cast on the adventitious socks I designed last year. I am using some different yarn choices so it will be fun to compare on Xmas day! I am really slow at knitting so hoping I get both socks done. I will probably share every couple of days dividing the socks into 12 parts to knit twice! In this pattern I have used various stitches including colourwork, depicted here as the Chrissy Tree, lace, moss stitch, rib and helical knitting as well as the heels and toes otechniques. The ‘Cromer’ crochet hat is finally done! The Woolley yarn was bought on a lovely trip visiting my sister down on the Norfolk coast, from a beautiful little yarn shop near the beach front in Cromer. Hence the name. I have crocheted another of these abstract crochet hats with the same yarn in another colour bought at the same time! I never have a plan when I make crochet hats and I never follow a pattern. They just become a hat at some point! This one goes nicely with my cat.

The Helical socks are done. Just in time cos I need some new socks! I cheated with only knitting the leg part as helical but the pink variegated is so pretty as it is I had to go with the feeling! I used and A thoroughly fun knit!
