Thank you to everyone single person that stopped by today at Howfen Wakes.

It was lovely to chat to so many about my stitched portraits, the things I make and even some of my future ideas.

The day has been successful in so many ways and that is down to our lovely local community and the support we show with events like this.

Let's hope this was the first of many 🥰

As well as making things I've also been doing a little bit of repair work.

My 13 year old found what he called my "retro" shirt, after wearing it a few times the letter v fell off, however it was a nice easy fix with my patch backing 😃 making it look as good as the day I bought it (probably from streetwise sports 😂)

I've also been stitching up a few spilt seams on school trousers and hemming a dress.

No job too small- please note at this time I'm unable to fix any zips.

As an Howfener I have many memories of our carnival (even winning the childrens float and fancy dress categories 😂) so when I heard people were bringing it back I was so excited and although there is no parade this year there is a lot going on in Westhoughton park.

To hear yesterday that some vandals are destroying the banners advertising this event is frustrating- I've been working so hard getting things ready to sell on the day, the team behind the event are working so hard to make it successful and this doesn't help!

So anybody free on 1st August please support this event, there are several small businesses like myself that would love you to stop by and make it a huge success for everybody involved.
