T H A N K - YOU FOR DONATING! The women of Bournemouth have been busy clearing out their underwear drawers resulting in a mammoth haul of roughly 2000 old/unloved bras being donated to the Against Breast Cancer bra recycling scheme. Boob-apology joined the scheme that benefits women everywhere back in 2019. The scheme currently provides eye-catching pink bra banks in Boscombe & and Southbourne where unwanted bras can be deposited.

Recycling bras prevents them from being dumped into UK landfills each year and the charity receives £700 from every tonne donated. The scheme directs textiles to Africa where they help create local commerce and the scheme is also helping to create jobs in the UK.

Funds received from the scheme are put to work by the charity to support the research they are conducting into breast cancer, now affecting 1 in 8 women in the UK.

The bra recycling scheme accepts ALL unwanted bras, old and new (regardless of condition). Your unwanted bras are more valuable to the charity now than ever. Thank you for your support.

Due to a combination of factors I have made the very difficult decision to close down the Boob-Ology Fitting Room in Sugar Mango. It's been an absolute blast working with the fabulous Alison and Tanya over the past few years and I've loved helping so many of you to find your perfect fit but, with other work commitments and a young family who need me I just can't find a way to make the Fitting Room financially viable.

This isn't the end for Boob-Ology Bra Fitting. My plan is to go back to where it all started offering a local home bra fitting service and pop-up bra fitting experiences at Sugar Mango and other locations including Wessex Cancer Trust.

Apologies to those of you who have been trying to get hold of me over the past few weeks. It's been tough and having Covid immediately followed by school holidays hasn't helped! I will do my best to get back to you all after the Bank Holiday weekend.
