This weekend I thought I’d update some photos…. Third time lucky I managed to get a picture without my husband in! 😂🙈
We have two of the Hana Baby UK | The Original Bamboo Baby Sling expand carriers in the library and they are such a wonderful option for people who prefer a more padded waistband.

Lots of adjustability give it great longevity and you can choose to either wear with cross straps or ruck straps. 🎉

I often recommend giving the Hana a go if your looking for a larger waistband as it offers you flexibility on how you do the straps. And the panel extends through adjusters on the front and sliders that increase the size of the colour section. This makes it easy to change the panel height as your little one gets bigger and is really handy when they decide to have arms out but then later need them moved inside for a nap.

It fits until around 2/2.5 years old depending on the size of your little one as the panel width can be adjusted too.

Top tip Tuesday! Did you know that most sling libraries have more carriers than any high street store? (Except perhaps shops run by babywearing consultants).

So when you’re looking at where to go and browse different carrier options, your local sling library is often the best place to start!

Top tip- big brand names have great marketing budgets… but it doesn’t always mean they are the right choice for you.

I’m running out of space so let’s have a flash sale!

Lots of buckle carriers, woven wraps, stretchy wraps, ring slings and close caboo in at the moment. Why not give one a go!

If your baby is under three months old you can take advantage of the newborn hire scheme and hire a woven wrap, stretchy wrap or close caboo for just £10 (usually £15) for three months. A fit check via WhatsApp messages is included and videos showing you how to get set up.

Looking for something else? Book to collect any carrier this Friday, Saturday or Sunday and I’ll extend your hire to Wednesday 15th giving you at least three extra days free hire. Izmi , Ergobaby Baby Carriers and Newborn Gear and Mamaruga are just some of the brands currently available.

There are some wonderfully cool options available to try that would be great for the next spout of hot weather!

Older children are very welcome at events over the summer holidays - but I do ask that if they are likely to want to take part in the art group that you add them as a participant for the session.

I have a couple of polls for options this month - so let me know your thoughts…

I’m thinking of trialling my Slades walk this month as a morning activity… what are your thoughts?

And would Mondays work better for my mums art group?

Here come the sun! ☀️ ☀️ summer offers incoming over the next few days… keep your eyes peeled!

Multitasking? It’s a mum thing 😄

Popping your little one in a carrier is a great way of keeping them in one place when you need to put shoes on… or trim toenails… or put hair up!

This is the .official mini sling in blue, a mesh carrier that’s suitable from around 1 month old and is very cool for the summer.

Honestly the timing could not have been better!

We have had air conditioning fitted in our home office building for two years now and it was the best investment we made. So last week we had the lovely Meridian Air Conditioning team back to add a unit to our lounge. ❄️❄️

This isn’t an AD - but I wanted to shout out the company as everyone who comes to an appointment with me benefits from the system they set up and they really did take great care of our house while getting it done.

Did you know that when you come to me you benefit from an air conditioned space so you don’t need to worry about getting hot and bothered while giving things a try ❤️

Babies facing outwards makes for great photos and is often the default that you see on Instagram, TV and in movies - but that doesn’t mean it should be the default carry for you!

Always remember that babies should not forward face too early - and realistically it starts to feel heavy and uncomfortable around the 10/12month mark… so in general I advise learning to hip carry or back carry instead. (Both of those are also cooler options!)

Out and about I see this done in an unsafe way all the time, so share with your friends to keep everyone safe and comfy ❤️
