Such a showstopper! ✨

Ava looking absolutely incredible on her magical prom day! 💙

I thoroughly enjoyed altering Ava's beautiful dress.

The bodice was taken in through the waist, as Ava felt the dress was slipping down. To achieve the perfect fit, I carefully removed the side seam boning, altered the bodice, and then repositioned the boning back into place. 😅 This gave Ava a much more secure fit and beautifully accentuated her waist.

The hem was also shortened, as it was too long for Ava to walk comfortably. This alteration took careful planning to ensure all of the stunning ruffles remained perfectly in line while still keeping the dress's gorgeous staggered effect.

Its more than just shortening a hem✨🧵

After shortening the hem, the netting is carefully stitched back into place to maintain the gown's beautiful shape and fullness. It's all about preserving the design while creating the perfect length for my bride 🤍👰‍♀️

✨ What a gorgeous prom girlie Daisy is! ✨

My beautiful client Daisy was all ready for her special day, and doesn't she look absolutely stunning? 💖

To make Daisy's dress fit like a glove, I shortened the straps as they were a little too long and carefully shortened the hem. This dress had a horsehair braid hidden within the hem, which adds weight and structure to create that beautiful shape and movement. It was important to reposition this correctly so Daisy could walk comfortably without catching the front of her dress. 👗

✨ Here's my beautiful Sophie all ready for her prom last Thursday! ✨

How absolutely stunning does she look? 💖

For Sophie's alterations, the straps were shortened to achieve the perfect fit, and the hem was taken up as it was too long. This dress required a lot of careful work, as every layer of horsehair braid had to be detached from the tulle and repositioned higher up the dress. The smaller ruffles were also individually shortened to maintain the original style, shape, and design of the gown.

It's always so important that alterations blend seamlessly with the way a dress was originally manufactured, ensuring the finished result looks completely natural. ✨

Doesn't she look absolutely stunning in this beautiful pink gown? 💖

Paige's dress fitted like a glove from the outset, so the only alteration needed was shortening the hem to the perfect length. Having the correct hem length is so important, especially for prom, as it allows you to walk, dance, and enjoy your special day comfortably without having to constantly lift your dress.

Sometimes the simplest alterations can make the biggest difference, ensuring a gown not only looks beautiful but feels effortless to wear too. ✨

✨ My beautiful first lot of girlies were all ready for prom on the 18th June! ✨

All week I'll be sharing their gorgeous photos, and first up is my beautiful client, Solsi. 💙

How absolutely stunning does she look in this gorgeous blue gown?

For Solsi's alterations, the sleevelets felt a little too loose and baggy, so they were carefully reshaped and shortened at a 45-degree angle. This allowed for better movement while still achieving the look Solsi had envisioned.

The hem also needed shortening to ensure she could walk comfortably and confidently throughout the evening. To achieve the perfect length, I carefully unpicked the horsehair braid from the tulle layers and repositioned it, preserving the beautiful structure, shape, and flow of the dress.

Seeing everything come together and watching my clients leave feeling confident and comfortable in their dresses is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. ✨
