Due to last minute commitments for our brilliant volunteers we’ve unfortunately had to cancel tomorrows session. Many apologies for the inconvenience.

Next Friday 27th September we will be upcycling recycled t-shirt yarn into mini baskets, led by our wonderful and crochet expert Natalie!

If you have old t-shirts please bring them, if not we can provide all materials!

We’re back from the summer break with some exciting mending and upcycling projects for the autumn as follows:

• Friday 27th September: Recycled crochet baskets
• Friday 25th October: Needle felting
• Friday 22nd November: Drop in / BYO project
• Friday 13th December: Rag rug wreathes

We kick off with Recycled crochet baskets led by the wonderful Natalie next Friday 27th September 9.30am at Spire Café! More details to follow!

Stick, Stitch and Fix is the focus of our session tomorrow! An easy way to create beautiful embroidery mends on denim and other sturdy fabrics! Come along and bring your holey denim. If you don't have any still come as we have plenty of practice materials! 9.30 - 11.30am Spire Cafe :)

Great Big Green Week celebrations continue next weekend with Spire Cafe Family Movie Morning! Come along, everyone welcome!

Join us this Saturday @ 11am (15th June) for Movie Morning @ Spire.

As part of “BIG GREEN WEEK” we are showing the movie “Ferngully-The Last Rainforest”.

See if fairies Krista and Zak can save their rainforest home from destruction. Rating U.

Free entry, but please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Cafe open as usual for movie treats and drinks.

Less than 24 hours until Brentford's Green Fair 2024 ! Do join us for our fabric swap 10am - 1pm at St Paul's Church, St Paul's Road, Brentford, TW8 0PN !

We have a few items already in stock for any early comers and look forward to seeing more of your fabric too!

In brief, the idea is that we will measure and grade your fabric then give you a corresponding number of buttons. You will then be able to spend your buttons on the fabric stall!

It’s 3 days until Brentford’s Green Fair this *Saturday 8th June 10am – 1pm* St Paul's Church, Parish of Brentford. This is the first in a series of events celebrating The Climate Coalition Great Big Green Week!

This year will be greener than ever and we are encouraging *everyone* to come and check out how you can get involved – even if you think you’re not very green!

We aim to help you find the one thing you can change to help make a difference to the planet!

We’re welcoming stallholders from Brentford FC, Chiswick Repair Café, London Borough of Hounslow, Brentford Air Quality, Parents For Future West London, Cultivate London and OL Insights!

On top of that they’ll be craft activities, a smoothie making bike, silent disco scavenger hunt, tours of our eco community garden, a fabric swap all with fantastic refreshments available to buy from Spire Cafe !

Come and join in the green fun this weekend!

It's less than a week until Climate Coalition's Great Big Green Week begins!

We are excited to be part of Brentford's Green Fair on *Saturday 8th June 10am - 1pm*, the first in a number of events at St Paul's Brentford to join in with this UK wide celebration of community action on Climate Change! See the events calendar on our webpage for more information.

The theme of the week is swapping - here are a couple of ideas to get you thinking about what you could swap to reduce your impact on the planet.

We had a fantastic time last week coming up with fashion revolution statements to embellish our tote bags! Some people worked with simple words, others upcycled the words and pictures already on the bags - the creative juices were in full flow and here are the results!

Come and see us at Brentford Green Fair on Saturday 8th June 10am - 1pm at St Pauls Church where we'll be running a fabric swap. Bring along your unwanted fabric and swap it for another piece to avoid buying brand new!

And / or join us next month on Friday 21st June 9.30 - 11.30am for our stick, stitch and fix session to mend holes in denim and cotton items.
