Took part in my first 'sew along with me live' session with Emma Studio 7T7 . We made the Valina bag. I have only had a brief lesson on sewing cut aways, so this bag was brilliant to enforce the method. Still no where near perfect, but I enjoyed the class immensely. Can't wait for the next one. Rookie error: I put my logo below the heart, only for it to be underneath once I had boxed the corners! Took it off immediately. I used cork for the main part of the bag, and waterproof canvas for the heart. I got the hardware kit from

The Ascot Tote, by , is a practical and easy-to-make zipper tote suitable for everyday use. The Tote comes in 2 sizes: Large and Small.
I used bonded nylon for the main outside fabric, which looks stunning. For the corners and flap, I used waxed canvas, and the lining is a lux nylon, which is a dream to work with!

The large is perfect for those who like to carry everything and will fit a 13″ laptop. The small size will accommodate all those essential items including a tablet or notebook and is perfect for lunch dates or shopping trips when you don’t want to be weighed down. Both bags can be worn over the shoulder or carried in your hand.

It hosts an external zipper pocket on the back. On the inside, I put a slip pocket. The press fastener tab over the zipper closure provides additional security. It's corner protectors, made with waxed canvas, give the bag a unique look and provide protection for the base.
Fully lined with no exposed seams inside!

I thought adding a press fastener would be super easy! Nope!! But it is easy if you do it correctly!

Large = 17.25″ across the top by 11.5″ high by 5.5″ deep.
Small = 15.25″ across the top by 9.5″ high by 4.5″ deep.

Even being away in SA never stopped me making a bag. I brought my latest project out with me!
I have just finished Simplistic Sling by .

The Simplistic Sling offers a blank canvas for showcasing wonderful prints and textures.

It has a main zippered compartment and a sling strap for carrying over either shoulder. It can hold all of your necessary essentials!

Inside boasts 6 vertical card slots, a zippered pocket, and two slip pockets.

The lining has a bound finish.

NOTE TO SELF: next time bring a bag label as well as double sided tape! I did miss Jack, as he would have done some excellent top stitching!

This is the Alaula Handbag by Lavender & Twine handbag. Sure you know the saying, 'third time lucky?? Well, this was the third time I made it. The first 2 are in the bin, as I really messed up. You see, even someone like me can make such a b....s up on projects. We NEVER mention how much money you waste with these bags!

Just thought I would post the latest bag I have finished. This is a sample as I wasn't too sure how it would turn out. I need to decrease the foot pressure, as it left a mark as it sewed.

This is the crossbody bag by . Thought I would try it as a great option to use in airports, as well as for stadiums.

This transparent bag will keep your belongings secure, yet visible, allowing you to breeze through security checks. This bag has a roomy interior, contrasting accents, and optional features to suit your style.

The finished size is 11" wide, 7" high, and 3" deep. (27.9cm wide, 17.8cm high, and 7.6cm deep)

It has a see-through design with clear vinyl, contrasting accents, top zipper closure and comfortable webbing straps.
